Hayes & Coney Hall ward lies in the western half of the borough and encompasses Hayes Village, the Hayes Place Estate, Hayes Common, West Wickham Common, Coney Hall, Nash and Keston Village.

It shares borders with West Wickham, Shortlands & Park Langley, Bromley Town, Bromley Common & Holwood and Darwin Wards in Bromley and borders the London Borough of Croydon.

The Ward is part of the Bromley & Biggin Hill parliamentary constituency and is part of the Bexley & Bromley London Assembly constituency. The Member of Parliament is Sir Bob Neill MP and the London Assembly Member is former Hayes & Coney Hall Councillor, Peter Fortune AM.
