Alexa was born in 1969 and has lived in Bromley all her life. She was educated in Bromley and holds degrees from the University of East Anglia and University College London. A qualified librarian, Alexa runs the information service at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the City of London.
She represented Bromley Common & Keston Ward between 1994 and 2022. Since 2022, Alexa has represented Hayes & Coney Hall. She is well known locally and has a reputation for getting things done.
Her main interests are planning, the environment and policing. She strongly believes that Green Belt and other designated land must be protected from built development and that local planning authorities should have more power to resist building on unsuitable sites. She wants all residents to be able to live in a clean, safe environment with visible police patrols.
As a daily commuter into central London, Alexa believes that reliable, clean and safe public transport is essential, both for the benefit of individuals and the wider economy.
Alexa currently chairs the Development Control Committee on Bromley Council. She also sits on several other committees, including Plans 1 Sub-Committee, the Public Protection & Enforcement Scrutiny Committee, the Children, Education and Families Scrutiny Committee and General Purposes and Licensing Committee.
Outside of politics, Alexa is a keen traveller and has visited many countries, including Arctic Norway, Greenland and Iceland. When time allows, Alexa participates in classes in the Borough’s excellent Mytime Active sports centres. She enjoys history and is a member of the Royal Society of St George, a non-political society for all people who share a love of England and all things English. Alexa also enjoys team quizzes and is very competitive!

Diane has lived in Hayes for over 42 years and has been a Councillor in Kelsey and Eden Park since 2010. This is the area where she grew up.
A pupil at Balgowan School in Beckenham and then Langley Park Grammar School for Girls, Diane qualified as a physiotherapist from the Royal London Hospital in 1981. She spent 27 years working in the NHS in and around Bromley. During her professional career in the health service, Diane held both clinical and senior managerial roles, so she brings a wealth of experience to her current Cabinet position at Bromley Council as Executive Portfolio Holder for Adult Care and Health.
Since taking up her Cabinet post, the Council have won three national awards, two with NHS colleagues. These relate to hospital discharge and a homeless project, and one in recognition of Bromley Council’s groundbreaking work in tackling loneliness in the Borough. This is now being looked at with a view to supporting policy development in Continental Europe.
