Hayes and Coney Hall Councillors have welcomed the news that a new micro-forest will be planted at Norman Park.

The news comes as Bromley Council was successful in their bid for funding from the Local Authority Treescapes Fund. The micro-forest will be about the size of a tennis court and will be located close to the Hook Farm Road car park. Residents are encouraged to attend the planting which will take place on Wednesday 19th February between 10 am-2 pm.

Cllr. Thomas Turrell said:

“Our natural environment is one of the reasons why Hayes & Coney Hall is a great place to live – and it’s right Bromley Council enhances this as much as possible.

“That’s why I’m thrilled to see a new micro-forest installed at Norman Park as a new amenity for residents to enjoy. I would encourage any interested residents to join us for the planting event and celebrate this superb addition to one of Bromley’s beautiful parks.”
