Cllr Alexa Michael has been calling for its reinstatement since then because it helped slow down the speed of the traffic.

We are very pleased to tell you that work to reinstate the high-friction surface and faux speed table in Heathfield Road will take place on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September. The road will be closed overnight at the junction of Keston Avenue from 8 pm on 29 September until 5 am on 30 September. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.

Cllr Alexa Michael said: “I’m very pleased that this work is finally being carried out because vehicles travel very fast along Heathfield Road. Following another serious accident on Heathfield Road last Wednesday, I am also calling for more practical and proportionate traffic-calming measures to improve road safety in Heathfield Road.”
