The Coney Hall Village Residents’ Association and residents more generally had raised concerns with local Councillors around congestion on roads surrounding Coney Hall Recreation Ground on Saturdays, when football is being played. Councillors have since raised this with Bromley Council’s Traffic team, who have agreed to investigate what potential measures could be used to combat the issue. The roads that will be under consideration are Church Drive, Sylvan Way, Chestnut Avenue and Queensway.
Councillors previously secured an extension to yellow lines on Layhams Road after concerns were raised around congestion and dangerous parking.
Cllr Josh Coldspring-White said: “We always take concerns around traffic congestion seriously, and have previously secured results when problems were identified in areas like Bourne Vale. With this in mind, we have lobbied Bromley’s Traffic team to look at issues being raised in Coney Hall, and look forward to hearing the outcome to their investigation. We will always do what it necessary to keep Coney Hall’s roads safe and moving.”
