As Hayes, Coney Hall & Keston Village settle down for the festive period, we wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on the work we've done over 2025.
It remains a privilege for us as your local Councillors to serve every resident. Over the past year, we have:
- Successfully seen new equipment installed at Husseywell Park playground, including a new roundabout, play panel and daisy rocker.
- Worked with Southeastern to secure funding to renovate Hayes Station, including refurbishments to signage and pigeon-proofing measures.
Secured new measures to tackle speeding, like new Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS) on Bourne Vale, Pickhurst Lane and Baston Road.
Successfully seen the installation of new planters, benches and a village sign at Chilham Way Shopping Parade.
Welcomed improvements to facilities at Coney Hall Recreation Ground, which were part-funded by Bromley Council.
Secured reviews into traffic calming measures on Hayes Lane, Mead Way and Bourne Vale.
Petitioned Sadiq Khan to restore the three-per-hour service timetable for the 138 bus route, and spoke out against plans to scrap the 654 bus route.
- Pushed for the expansion of the Noise Sensitive Area for planes around Keston Village, and welcomed the trial of the new R03 runway approach at Biggin Hill Airport.
Held our monthly Street Surgery in Station Approach, Hayes, to collect casework. We also knocked on doors across the Ward to speak to residents and listen – and act on – their concerns.
Attended events across the Ward, including the Hayes Fair, Coney Hall Residents’ Open Meeting and Keston Winter Wonderland.
As we approach 2026, we look forward to continuing to deliver on more issues that concern residents – whether that be the resurfacing of Addington Road, or working with colleagues at Bromley Council to resist the inappropriate proposals for development at Hayes Farm.
Josh and Alexa, alongside local resident Diane Smith, look forward to speaking to residents in the run-up to local elections in May – and sharing their plan to make Hayes, Coney Hall and Keston Village even better places to live.
