
While many residents welcome the warmer weather, we ask you to think of the young street trees (3 years and under) that need to be watered frequently over the summer months if they are going to become established and thrive.
If you have a young tree outside your home or one that you pass on your daily walk, please water it frequently during dry periods in June, July and August. Every little helps.

Cllr Alexa Michael said: “Bromley Council planted a total of 5,000 street trees between 2022 and 2026. It is very sad – and a terrible waste of tree life, public money and effort – if they then die due to a lack of water. Please take just a few minutes to water a thirsty tree near you. It will make all the difference between a tree surviving or dying in the heat.”
