£5 million to be spent improving the state of Bromley’s roads

Bromley's Conservative-run Council has announced new funding to improve the state of roads across the Borough.
The £5 million package is additional money that will be spent on improving the Borough’s roads over the course of the next year. In addition, a new ‘super-asphalt’ will be trialled, with the aim of making road repairs more efficient.

Hayes & Coney Hall Ward has benefitted from investment over the last year, including the resurfacing of Addington Road in January. Local Councillors are lobbying for improvements in more locations over the next year, including Mounthurst Road, which is badly in need of resurfacing.

Cllr Alexa Michael said:
“The state of our roads is a concern frequently raised by residents, so I’m delighted that Bromley’s Conservative-led Council is investing new money to solve this problem.

“We will be working hard to make sure as many roads as possible in Hayes, Coney Hall & Keston Village benefit from the extra cash.”
