The move comes because residents were concerned at the state of the car park, with multiple potholes identified. The very poor state of the car park is causing congestion and vehicle damage at times when the park is heavily used, such as on ParkRun days.

Funding for this ‘small works project’ was agreed by Conservative-run Bromley Council’s Executive in September. The timetable for works will be announced in due course. Such work will also be undertaken at Sparrows Den car park, which is in a similar condition. 

Cllr Diane Smith said: “Once again, the announcement for resurfacing at Norman Park car park shows what positive outcomes local Councillors can achieve when residents let us know their suggestions to improve our area.

“I look forward to seeing this work carried out, and for the car park to become pothole-free.”
