Daisy Rocker and Shop Play panel to feature in Husseywell Park

Bromley Council and the Husseywell Playground Project have approved new equipment to be installed at Husseywell Park playground.
The Husseywell Park Playground Project – a group of local parents who submitted the application for new money to improve the park – have chosen to use the £12,000 funding to purchase a new daisy rocker to replace the see-saw, a Shop Play panel to enhance imaginative play and as a replacement for the roundabout that was removed due to safety concerns last year.

The new equipment has been funded by a combination of a £10,000 grant from Bromley Council, £2,000 raised by local Councillors from the Hayes Village Association and the Hayes Kent Trust, and £2,000 raised by the Husseywell Playground Project through fundraising by the local community.

Notices will go up around the park close to the installation date, which Council contractors will notify us of in due course.

Cllr Josh Coldspring-White said: “I’m pleased that we are one step closer to seeing new equipment installed at Husseywell Park playground, with a variety of new equipment that local families will be able to enjoy.

“I want to commend the Husseywell Playground Project for their outstanding work on this project. It’s great that we as local Councillors have been able to bring our community together to secure significant improvements to enhance one of our local parks for many years to come.”
