Addington Road is being resurfaced

The Council's contractors, Riney, will be closing the road between 7.30pm and 5am from Tuesday 27th January for up to four consecutive nights. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.

The works have been split into the following two phases:

Phase 1 – Addington Road closed between the junctions of Glebe Way / Croydon Road and Tiepigs Lane / Coney Hill Road for two consecutive nights from Tuesday, 27th January.

Phase 2 – Addington Road closed between the junctions of Glebe Way / Croydon Road and Corkscrew Hill / Layhams Road for two consecutive nights from Thursday, 29th January.

The resurfacing project is accompanied by plans to resurface West Common Road, while Prestons Road was resurfaced last year.

Cllr Alexa Michael said: “I’m pleased to see works to resurface Addington Road being undertaken imminently. This will improve a vital road for our community. Residents can be assured that the works will be undertaken overnight to minimise disruption.”
