Update on Hayes Farm 

Bromley Council has received an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping application from Berkeley Homes for the Hayes Farm site. It is likely to be validated and made public shortly.

Double yellow lines in Layhams Road to be extended

Following pressure from Cllr Alexa Michael, the Council’s officers have now agreed to investigate extending the proposed double yellow lines on the north side of Layhams Road further along the road towards the bowls club.

Labour has weakened the protection for Green Belt land, meaning developers are eyeing up Bromley’s precious green spaces. Hayes Farm is now in their sight, with a developer proposing to build 2,000 homes on this land.

Hayes & Coney Hall ward Councillors have received an update from the Council’s traffic team regarding the installation of double yellow lines on Layhams Road.

Cycling on Hayes Common

Cllr Alexa Michael was recently contacted by a member of the Safer Neighbourhood Team for Hayes & Coney Hall Ward who told her that a number of residents had raised the issue of children cycling in the woods by Hayes Common.
